Per FDA 21 CFR 101.22(a)(3), 'natural flavor' can contain dozens of unlabeled substances including carriers, emulsifiers, preservatives + solvents (propylene glycol, polysorbates). Not necessarily harmful but the lack of disclosure prevents informed choice. EWG penalizes for opacity.
