About half saturated fat and oxidatively stable, so the nutritional case is mixed rather than poor — the dominant flag is supply chain. Oil palm expansion is a leading driver of tropical deforestation and peatland conversion in Southeast Asia, with associated biodiversity loss. RSPO certification exists and materially changes the picture, so a certified product should not be read the same as an uncertified one; where certification is disclosed the certifications component reflects it.
