Refined mineral oil

How we reached this

USP-grade refined mineral oil — fully refined petroleum distillate. FDA permits as inactive ingredient in OTC topical products + as direct food additive at limits (21 CFR 172.878). EWG Skin Deep flags class for incomplete refining historically (PAH carryover); USP-grade and EU Pharmacopoeia grades have purity specs that eliminate that risk. Inert occlusive — sits on skin, not absorbed.
