How we reached this

Ethoxylated sulfate surfactant. Same 1,4-dioxane contamination concern as the PEG family (ethoxylation byproduct). Less irritating than sodium lauryl sulfate but still less ideal than sulfate-free alternatives like sodium cocoyl isethionate.
