Synthetic polymer used as adhesive/binder in diaper construction. FDA-permitted indirect food contact (21 CFR 177). High molecular weight = not dermally absorbed. Polymerization is complete; residual styrene monomer is the dermal concern (held below ppm by EU + FDA specs). End-of-life: not biodegradable.
